Cherry Blossoms

We haven't been up to much adventuring lately. We have been busy with things like starting new jobs, going to school and paying for car repairs. So here is a peak at some of what we have right here in Victoria.

Brenda under a tree on Wildwood Ave.

These tree blossoms are everywhere right now. Some are white, some are pink, and some of our streets are lined with them and can be quite spectacular.

Another 'White' blossom on Wildwood.

Container ship heading through the Strait of Juan De Fuca.

You can frequently see these big ships coming through. This is looking south towards the Olympic mountains from Dallas Rd.

Not a native bird.

We met this guy in Beacon Hill Park. He's a resident of the petting zoo, which hasn't yet opened for the season. Peacock isn't high on our list of things we'd like to pet.

Mmmmmmm . . . dinner.

You might want to take a closer look at this one. The red arrow is pointing to a bald eagle. It is eating a freshly caught seagull, and leaving a mess of feathers on the ground below. We'll leave you with some more trees of Beacon Hill Park below.

They sure have some crazy trees out here.

Cam in a tree.
