Waterloo Girls Take On Victoria

After only 7 months, Cam and I got our first visitors!!! Laura and Meghan made the trek out to Victoria for a weekend. We started the weekend off with a trip to visit the local Oak Bay seals... and this time there were 4 seals!

Oak Bay Seals

After we did our part to fatten up the already fat seals, we went to feed ourselves at an Oak Bay pub, Penny Farthing. A quick trip to the grocery store and we were headed home.

Saturday night we enjoyed a BBQ and yummy slushie drinks before heading out for a night on the town. We attempted to check out a local favourite bar, Darcy's, but after waiting outside in the cold wind for a while, we decided to head down the road to the warmth of Sauce.

Sunday was all about Mount Finlayson. We put on our runners and comfy hiking clothes and set out. I must say that Laura put us all to shame as she powered up the hill, but we all had fun.

Cam shows us the way. Thanks Cam!

Just getting started.

The Girls at the Top.

The wind at the top proved to be quite chilly, so we made our way back down. Before heading out of the park, we went to check out Niagara Creek so we could compare the water levels to November.

Niagara Creek in November - check out the water rushing through the tunnel.

Monday we made the most of our last day together and spent the day strolling around downtown. We saw a few more seals, caught some rays over lunch and chatted. Overall, it was an awesome weekend - thanks girls!!!
